The swimming club has been affiliated with the Mauritius Swimming Federation (MSF) since 2017, taking part in every swimming competition organised by the federation.

Our swimming club is very proud to count 3 participants to the Indian Ocean Island Games 2019 (IOIG), who won 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.

Axel Adam

Axel is a certified coach through FINA (Fédération Internationale de Natation) as well as a FINA Open Water Official and an ITU (International Triathlon Union) Level 1 Technical Official.

Axel was Chief Swim for the 2019 African Triathlon Championships, and National Team Coach for the 2019 Indian Ocean Island Games (IOIG) and the 18th FINA World Swimming Championships.

After working for 5 years in Australia, Axel is now Responsable & Coordonnateur Natation at Synergy Sport & Wellness Institute.

Floriane St Louis

Florianne was previously Curepipe Starlight’s Head Coach from 2010 to 2018. She is a FINA Open Water Official and an ITU Level 2 Technical Official, having officiated as Technical Official at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games and as Assistant Technical Delegate for the 2019 African Triathlon Championships. She will once again be a Technical Official for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Florianne has been a full time Sports Teacher at École du Centre since 2011.

Future Day:

Girls (11 years old or younger) and boys (12 years old or younger)

Grand Prix:

Girls (12 years old and older) and boys (13 years old and older)

Mauritius Championships:

Girls (10 years old and older) and boys (11 years old and older)

Future Day & Grand Prix:

Based on the Mauritius Swimming Federation’s (MSF) criteria, including time per age.

Mauritius Championships (twice a year – 25 & 50 m):

Qualification done on Future Day and/or Grand Prix competitions, as well as on time.

Private events:

Not under the MSF’s jurisdiction – swimmers can choose to participate on their own, though only if the club itself doesn’t take part in the event and authorises them to do so.

Aquathlon :

Under the “Fédération Mauricienne de Triathlon’s” (FMTri) jurisdiction – swimmers can take part if they have a swimming licence. This licence is compulsory for Duathlon and Triathlon.

A federal licence is compulsory to participate in swimming competitions in Mauritius or abroad.

This license can be applied for and obtained through a swimming club affiliated to the Mauritius Swimming Federation (MSF).

Documents to submit:

A parental authorisation for minors, a medical certificate attesting swimming abilities (training & competition), a copy of the birth certificate, 2 passport photos and an amount of Rs 125 for the licence fee (renewable every year, based on the same criteria).
